Q15. I downloaded OctroTalk on my PPC Cingular 8125. It is struck on “Reconnecting to Internet…,” while I am able to browse and get emails.
Ans: OctroTalk does work on Cingular 8125. Your device may be using a proxy connection. OctroTalk does not work through proxy; it requires a direct connection to the Internet. Go to your GPRS settings and make sure it says that it connects to "The Internet".
Q16.Why doesn't VOIP work on E62?
Ans: VOIP doesn't work on E62 because it doesn't have the necessary hardware DSP chips. Octro uses hardware encoders available on most symbian phones for VOIP. This really reduces the CPU usage, and increases quality of voice. It also enhances the battery life on these phones. For this reason, VOIP is not supported on these Nokia Phones 3250, 5500, E50, E62.
Q17.I was making SIP call through OctroTalk Windows (desktop) Client. Now my SIP call disconnects after one minute?
Ans: From the OctroTalk desktop client the SIP call duration is limited to 1 minute. To use OctroTalk for SIP call beyond one minute, you must purchase SIP Calling Credit minutes. This is only for OctroTalk desktop client.

To extend call beyond one minute, you must purchase OctroTalk SIP credit at 1 cent per minute. A purchase of USD 5 gives you a credit of 500 minutes. First 1 minute of calling is always free. You can use any compatible SIP provider. The SIP provider charges are separate.

If you are using OctroTalk for mobile phones, you do not need SIP Calling Credit. However, you will still pay SIP provider charges.
